Chemical & Fertilizer
Application Equipment
Our
equipment is capable of custom applying dry and liquid fertilizers
with or without chemicals. We now have three dry spreaders,
an 1803 Terregator, a 1603 Terragator and a brand-new CaseIH
Titan 4-wheeler. We use GPS equipment in our spreaders and
post-emerge sprayers. We will again be using Ro-Gators for
post-emerge and pre-harvest spraying; for pre-plant and CRP
spraying we have our 1603 Floater.
Our
4 fertilizer tender trucks (3 in Cando and 1 in Egeland)
are prepared to bring you drill fertilizers or custom blends
to put through your own equipment. We handle phosphates,
urea, potash, ammonium sulfate, and any micro-nutrients
you may need such as zinc, copper, and sulfur.
FERTILIZER
OUTLOOK FALL 2004
Nitrogen:
Prices
are high, driven by the natural gas and petroleum costs. There
is a 6 cent spread between urea and anhydrous, with urea being
higher. The short term outlook is for prices to continue to
increase, so it would be advisable to fertilize this fall.
Replacement costs are $20-$25 per ton higher than our posted
prices. We have an adequate supply for fall and our prices
probably won't increase.
Phosphates:
Phosphate
prices are the highest in years. Fall prices at this point
are equal to spring prices, but strong movement will bring
about increases even this fall. Book your tons now to guarantee
your prices for fall.
General
Comments:
Because
of the delayed harvest, there has not been much activity as
far as fall fertilization goes. We are ready to meet your
needs with spreading and delivery of anhydrous. We again are
offering a deferred payment plan for fall fertilizer. Stop
in to discuss your needs.
